Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection debuted a dramatic redesign, unveiling a luxuriously reimagined modern mountain resort in Telluride.
Located at 10,540 feet, the ski-in/ski-out mountain retreat features new social spaces, including Timber Room, a vibrant new indoor-outdoor après ski bar and lounge, a refreshed lobby and a new boutique.

Miami-based interior design team Rose Ink Workshop led Madeline’s redesign, creating a modern look that offers a chic, yet approachable respite from Telluride’s active outdoor lifestyle.
“We were inspired by Telluride’s mountainous summer in bloom and the crisp contrasts of a snow covered peaks,” says Liubasha Rose, interior designer and founder of Rose Ink Workshop. “We looked to Swiss chalet style and Alps decor and mixed in a uniquely local sensibility to create an environment that is timeless, nostalgic and spans continents.”
A nod Telluride’s history, Rose and team pulled inspiration from its heyday of mining gold and silver. “We could imagine the excitement and danger of existing in a place so magnificently situated in the surrounding countryside, and so remote,” says Rose. “It’s like a secret refuge.”

A stay at Madeline is intimate, comfortable, luxurious and a little undone—almost as if it’s always been like that. The design team at Rose Ink Workshop combined vintage and new furniture, overstuffed upholstered seating with modern fabrics, soft lighting, muted wall coverings and raw finishes that contrast snow-white, chalky plaster.
“We designed The Madeline to feel unique to the Colorado mountains—to create a new kind of mountain style with texture, patina and thoughtful layers of pattern and color,” says Rose. “We feel luxury interiors need layers and stories to create a dynamic and timeless environment.”
